The Centre

The Blackpool City Learning Centre's purpose is to promote and develop new and exciting ways of learning, support existing inspirational or innovative network practices.  We also facilitate local, regional and national training for school improvement and build capacity to raise standards attainment, aspirations and achievements.

The CLC combines state-of-the-art facilities and expertise to provide learning opportunities to a network of local schools (primary and secondary), the local community, local businesses and crucially Blackpool learners.

We work with all the schools in Blackpool to provide motivating and challenging experiences through a learning hub that helps raise standards for all young people.

Students and adults have access to the centre's state of the art facilities via professional development courses and ICT enhanced projects.  Community groups can also get involved by having tailor made activities designed for their specific needs.

Teachers and trainers benefit from the centre's cutting edge facilities by being able to learn, update and refine their knowledge and skills.

The CLC is also available for local businesses and commerce to host training sessions and conferences.

Learning Centres across the country have tightened security.  We have topped up our Smartwater, our CCTV is monitored by the Lancashire Constubulary, door security has been improved as well as council and police patrols increased in the area.  If you would like more information regards the CLC please do not hesitate to contact us directly.
