Boundary Library
Boundary Library
Located in Blackpool City Learning Centre (CLC), Boundary Library opened to the public in October 2003 and was the first library to be opened in Blackpool in over 40 years. Twice as big as the shop premises that housed the old library on Grange Park, the library has attracted many new users from the local community.
The library stock is popular and includes spoken word CD's, Large Print and picture books and easy readers for children, who enjoy the innovative design of the space available to young people. Display is crucial in the facility and there is an emphasis on providing shelving and units that allow the new stock purchased for the library to be readily accessible to users.
The library has four public access PC's that compliment the pc's available in the cyber lounge and are always in demand. Library staff spend time helping customers with their enquiries and book requests on activities such as story times and class visits.
The council has recently increased the opening hours at the library so that it is now open 9.00am to 12.30pm and 1.00pm to 5pm on Monday, Wednesday, Friday and Saturday.
