A dual training session using the new 2-D picture animation package Animation-is and the old faithful IStop Motion.

Create animations for any purpose quickly and easily using Animation-ish, developed by cartoonist Peter Reynolds specifically for users with no animation experience. Animation-ish is versatile, easy to use and provides the opportunity for users to work progressively & seamlessly through three levels from beginner to advanced. Suitable for all ages and abilities. Unlimited curriculum potential.

ISTop Motion is Stop-frame (Wallace and Gromit) animation. Using the software the session will explore ways that moving still characters and then taking a series of images can be made into a story that can have music and speech added, creating a great movie. Using stop frame animation is a great way of enhancing literacy and story telling skills that can be applied to ALL subjects at both primary and secondary level. The sessions can also be linked to Bloom’s Taxonomy. 

Once we have created the stop-motion animation we will focus on how it can be used in other movies and put onto DVD.
