A group of maths teachers use ICT as they tackle three traditionally hard to teach topics with their pupils.

Please note this story was taken from the Teachers TV website, a great source of inspiration for your teaching needs:

Year 9 girls in east London are given interactive geometry software to help them visualise and explore what is going on inside three-dimensional shapes.

Meanwhile, a Year 8 class in Walsall use handheld computer devices to look at quadratic number sequences for the first time.

And a Year 9 class in Wellingborough use dynamic geometry software to investigate circle theorems. Blackpool CLC has Geometers Sketchpad and Autograph installed on its system whcih are the two best examples of dynamic geometry software.

Part of a research project, these case studies have been developed with the Mathematical Association and the Association of Teachers of Mathematics.
