Two event were held at the CLC for Secondary and Primary Schools. Thames, Mereside, St John Vianney, St John's and Ashton Community came to the CLC at the end of November, and Palatine, Unity, St George's and St.Mary's came in at the beginning of December as a precursor for the Holocaust event to be held at the CLC on 27th January.
The schools along with Nigel Duckworth (Co-ordinator) were preparing ideas, resources and presentations which they will be making to the public on the Holcaust Memorial Day.
The objectives were to enhance understanding of the Holocaust and its legacy. Presentations based on the theme 'Speak Up - Speak Out' and the understanding of what this means were formulated and increased understanding of racism now and then and speaking up against injustice etc was discussed.
